Building a training programme with interactive e-learning modules
Three interactive e-learning modules were developed for HR topics, from design through to handover. The modules were validated by HR and are now in active use across the organisation.

Smulders operates internationally in the energy and infrastructure sector, with a workforce spread across different roles and environments. For a long time, internal knowledge transfer relied mainly on documents and classroom sessions, without a strong digital learning structure underneath.
That created a clear gap for HR. The ambition to move towards e-learning was already there, but the internal capacity and instructional design expertise to build effective modules were not. The challenge was not only to digitise content, but to make it usable and relevant for employees.
The challenge
Smulders needed at least three interactive e-learning modules on HR topics, built in Articulate or Rise, aligned with the intended audience and stable enough for live use. At the same time, the setup had to be transferable so the organisation could continue independently afterwards.
Blackbear's role
Blackbear helped define the scope clearly from the start. The focus stayed on designing and delivering e-learning content, while LMS implementation and broader HR strategy remained outside the assignment. From there, the work was organised around close alignment with HR, module design, testing and phased delivery.
Result
Three e-learning modules were developed, validated by HR and launched within the organisation. Templates and supporting documentation were also delivered, giving Smulders a practical basis to expand its digital learning offer further.
