RESPECT Wonen Zorg Welzijn is a care organisation in the greater The Hague area providing integrated housing, care, and wellbeing services for elderly people and those requiring additional support. The organisation had set its sights on meaningful digitalisation, reducing administrative burden for care staff and freeing up more time for quality care.
The challenge was as broad as it was complex. Voice-driven reporting couldn't be introduced in isolation; it needed to be embedded within a coherent policy framework. One that brought together technology, governance, and everyday care practice.
The challenge
During a period of peak demand, RESPECT needed an experienced project lead who could hit the ground running and strengthen its ICT policy in an integrated way, spanning GDPR compliance, security governance, data management, and the introduction of voice-driven reporting.
Blackbear's role
Getting the scope right from the outset was essential. The assignment called for a specialist who could combine strategic depth with the ability to navigate the stakeholder landscape of a care organisation. Blackbear identified a well-matched professional with a proven track record in healthcare IT and policy development, and ensured that agreements were clear and the collaboration ran smoothly throughout.
Result
Within three months, a strategic policy framework and a fully aligned Programme of Requirements were delivered, approved by the project team and ready to serve as a direct foundation for implementation. Stakeholders were actively involved throughout, and the handover documentation, complete with version control, was finalised with a presentation to the core team.
