Remote

GEOCapital is a new real estate company with a clear ambition: to build a digital platform where professional and private users can buy, sell, rent, and search for properties. The goal was never simply a working website, it was a technical foundation capable of growing alongside the business, scalable, secure, and ready for future analytical features.

Building a platform of this kind demands more than a competent developer. It requires someone who can simultaneously manage technical architecture, external data integrations, and a seamless user experience, a combination that rarely comes together without the right specialist at the right time.

The challenge

GEOCapital had a well-defined scope: an MVP covering public and private property listings, interactive map components, role-based access control, and integrations with external data sources, including BAG and PDOK. The challenge was finding a professional who could take this on end-to-end within a fixed-price arrangement.

Blackbear's role

The brief was sharpened and structured before sourcing began, which made it possible to identify a specialist with demonstrable experience across both software development and DevOps, exactly the profile this assignment called for. The four-milestone structure was used as the basis for a clear, outcome-driven engagement, giving GEOCapital visibility and control at every stage of delivery.

Result

The platform launched as a fully functional MVP, with all core features operational: interactive map visualisation, advanced search and filters, media management, user registration, and GDPR-compliant data storage within the EU. The technical infrastructure has been built in a way that allows future enhancements, including analytics, to be added without requiring a rebuild from the ground up.
