Turn Key

Peterson Control Union is an internationally operating company active in inspection, certification, and quality assurance. The QA team was facing increasing pressure on deadlines and task oversight, and needed a tool that could structurally support its way of working.

The challenge was both technical and organisational: which tool genuinely fits the way this team operates, and how do you ensure the decision has buy-in?

The challenge
During a period of peak workload, there was insufficient internal capacity to carry out a thorough tool selection process. The team needed someone who could hit the ground running, sharpen the requirements, and deliver a well-founded recommendation that aligned with the existing system landscape.

Blackbear's role
The assignment was defined as a clearly scoped project with a concrete definition of done: an advisory report, a requirements list developed together with the QA manager, and an implementation plan. Blackbear sourced a specialist with demonstrable experience in tool selection and implementation projects within project-driven environments. The focus was on finding someone who could operate independently and add value from day one.

Result
The project delivered a fully substantiated advisory report recommending a project management tool, an overview of the alternatives considered, and a concrete implementation plan including timeline. The QA team now has a clear framework in place to move forward with the rollout without delay.
