Brabant Water manages the drinking water supply for a large part of the Dutch province of North Brabant and is actively investing in the digitalisation of its pipeline network. As part of that programme, dozens of new sensors were installed to monitor the condition and performance of the network on an ongoing basis.

The data these sensors generate only becomes useful once the corresponding files are accurately and completely recorded in the central business system. That may sound straightforward, but processing 290 files to a high standard requires someone who gets up to speed quickly, works independently, and maintains quality from start to finish.

The challenge

Brabant Water did not have the internal capacity to carry out this data entry accurately and on time. Because these records form the foundation for future asset management and maintenance, precision was not optional, it was essential.

Blackbear's role

The scope was clearly defined from the outset: a fixed volume of files, a set timeframe, and explicit quality requirements. Blackbear matched those requirements to a specialist with a proven track record in data entry within comparable business environments. The engagement was structured around fixed delivery milestones, ensuring that progress and quality could be monitored throughout and that any issues could be addressed before the final handover.

Result

All 290 sensor files were entered fully and accurately, and formally signed off following a final quality check. The digital foundation for managing and maintaining the sensor network is now in place, delivered to specification and within the agreed timeline.
