Brabant Water provides drinking water to 2.5 million people in Noord-Brabant. After years of organizational change, many job profiles no longer aligned with reality. Employees were working according to new roles and responsibilities, but on paper the descriptions still reflected what applied years ago.
The challenge
Updating 200 profiles required more than just writing skills. Each profile needed to be inventoried, documented, and translated into a uniform format through conversations with department managers. That combination of interview capacity, writing skills, and HR knowledge was difficult to scale internally within the short timeframe.
Role of Blackbear
Blackbear structured the project to make it executable within four months. By breaking down the work into clear phases with alignment, interviews, drafts, and final delivery, a controlled process emerged. Two specialists conducted parallel conversations with managers, translated that input into consistent profiles, and documented all changes in a clear format.

Before year-end, Brabant Water had 200 updated job profiles that accurately reflect what each role entails. All changes have been documented, making it visible what has changed per profile. This provided the organization with an up-to-date foundation for recruitment, development, and career conversations.
