Approach
Lean optimisation
Holland Colours is a specialist manufacturer of colour pigments for the plastics industry. With a strong focus on quality and client satisfaction, the company wanted to improve production processes in a more structural and measurable way.
That kind of improvement asks for both analytical rigour and operational pragmatism. The need was for someone who could start quickly and work independently in a production environment.
The challenge
Holland Colours wanted to make at least two production processes measurably more efficient, with less waste and fewer rejects. This required a process engineer with hands on experience in chemicals or plastics, a solid grasp of lean methodologies and the ability to drive change independently.
Blackbear's role
Blackbear worked with Holland Colours to sharpen the brief by clarifying the scope, defining the right profile and aligning on what success should look like. Based on that, a specialist was engaged with proven experience in process optimisation in comparable industrial settings.
Result
Multiple production processes were analysed and improved, with clear results in throughput time, reject rates and material efficiency. Teams were supported in adopting the new way of working, and management received regular progress updates and next steps.
