BeFrank is a defined contribution pension provider managing investments on behalf of employees at some of the Netherlands’ largest companies. Each year, the organisation is legally required to provide participants with two key documents: the UPO and Pensioen 1-2-3, giving every individual a clear overview of their pension entitlements.
Meeting that obligation involves detailed technical and administrative work. Dotfiles containing hundreds of variables must be built, linked to corresponding Excel and Word documents, and tested carefully within a fixed delivery window.
The challenge
BeFrank needed temporary capacity to create, link and test the required dotfiles and supporting documents. The work called for someone who was digitally skilled, structured in approach and flexibly available across two quarters.

Blackbear helped define the scope clearly from the outset: what profile suited this type of execution work and what level of availability was realistic during the project period. Based on that scope, a specialist was engaged who could carry out the work under the guidance of BeFrank’s internal subject matter expert. Throughout the assignment, Blackbear helped keep the collaboration smooth and delivery on track.
Result
All dotfiles, Excel files and Word documents were prepared, tested and refined based on test outcomes. The IT department received complete and accurate documentation, and all participants received their mandatory pension communications on time and in line with regulatory requirements.
