Coursebook redesign

Vanderlande uses internal learning materials to build knowledge around sustainability, including circular economy principles. The existing playbook already contained the right content, but its size and visual presentation made it less effective as a practical learning resource.

That made the challenge twofold. The material had to become more appealing and easier to use, while still retaining the full depth of the original content.

The challenge
The playbook needed to be redesigned into a more compact coursebook with a stronger visual structure and a smaller file size for digital distribution. At the same time, the content itself had to remain intact and usable for both self directed and group based learning.

Blackbear's role
Blackbear helped define the scope tightly at the start. The work focused on redesigning and condensing existing material, without expanding into new content creation, translation or digital learning tools. That made it possible to keep the project centred on one clear deliverable: a stronger, more usable coursebook.

Result
Vanderlande now has a redesigned circular economy coursebook that is visually stronger, more compact and lighter in file size. It is ready for immediate use in both digital and printed form, with lower paper use and no loss of essential learning content.
