Johnson Controls operates a large international logistics network, where even small inefficiencies can add up quickly. Over time, transport costs can drift, SKU portfolios can expand and potential savings can remain difficult to quantify.
The need here was therefore very practical: identify where improvements could be made and show, with numbers, what different scenarios would mean financially.
The challenge
Johnson Controls needed senior analytical capacity to assess transport and SKU data without turning the assignment into a long advisory programme. The specialist had to interpret existing data quickly, model realistic scenarios and translate the findings into clear cost-saving opportunities.
Blackbear's role
Blackbear helped define the assignment around analysis and scenario modelling, while raw data collection and implementation remained outside scope. A senior logistics analyst was then matched to the project, with experience in industrial environments and the ability to communicate findings to both technical and senior stakeholders. The work was delivered in defined phases, with review moments between each step.
Result
Over three months, multiple detailed logistics analyses were delivered, each supported by scenario modelling and quantified savings potential across transport and SKU management. Johnson Controls now has a substantiated basis for targeted improvements without having to allocate internal capacity to the analytical work.
