Collaboration
Remotely
Beumer Group is an internationally recognised provider of automated intralogistics systems, serving sectors including aviation, e-commerce, and manufacturing. As part of a broader digitalisation programme, the organisation was preparing for the implementation of SAP Business One as its new ERP platform.
A system migration depends on the quality of the underlying data. And that data — covering hundreds of components ordered over the years, had not yet been fully documented.
The challenge
For approximately 500 articles, essential attributes such as weight, dimensions, and classification were missing. Without this information, a reliable import into the new system was not feasible, putting the migration timeline at risk.
Blackbear's role
The assignment called for someone with a sharp eye for detail, a structured approach to data handling, and the discipline to work independently and discreetly. Blackbear defined the scope clearly and identified a specialist with the right combination of technical aptitude and precision. Because expectations had been set upfront — including a firm deadline and a clearly defined deliverable, the professional was able to start immediately without unnecessary back-and-forth.
Result
All approximately 500 articles were fully enriched with the required master data, carefully sourced from supplier websites and recorded in a well-structured Excel file. The final deliverable is ready for automatic import into SAP Business One and contributes directly to a smooth and reliable ERP migration.
