BeFrank is a defined contribution pension provider managing investments on behalf of employees at some of the Netherlands' largest companies. As a certified B Corp, sustainability shapes both its investment philosophy and its way of working. Each year, BeFrank is legally required to provide participants with two key documents, the UPO and the Pensioen 1-2-3, giving every individual a clear overview of their pension entitlements.
Fulfilling that obligation involves detailed technical and administrative work: building dotfiles containing hundreds of variables, linked to corresponding Excel and Word documents. It is work that demands precision and must be delivered within a defined window.
The challenge
To create, link, and test the dotfiles and associated documents, BeFrank needed temporary capacity from someone digitally proficient, structured in their approach, and available flexibly across two quarters.
Blackbear's role
The scope was defined clearly from the outset: what profile suits this type of execution work, and what level of availability is realistic across the project period? A specialist was identified who could carry out the required tasks under the guidance of an internal subject matter expert at BeFrank. Throughout the engagement, Blackbear ensured the collaboration ran smoothly and that delivery stayed on track.
Result
All dotfiles, Excel and Word documents were prepared, tested, and refined based on test outcomes. The IT department received complete and accurate documentation, and all participants received their mandatory pension communications on time and in line with regulatory requirements.
