Beumer Group is an internationally recognised provider of automated intralogistics systems for sectors including aviation, e-commerce and manufacturing. As part of a wider digitalisation programme, the organisation was preparing to implement SAP Business One as its new ERP platform.
A system migration depends on the quality of the underlying data. In this case, data for hundreds of components ordered over the years had not yet been fully documented.
The challenge
For around 500 items, essential attributes such as weight, dimensions and classification were missing. Without that information, a reliable import into the new ERP system was not possible, putting the migration timeline at risk.
